TrueColours: the world’s first warning system for hidden risks in online T&Cs.

Powered by STABILO highlighters, TrueColours is a digital tool that highlights important points and puts privacy terms under a colourful spotlight and helps users review threats to their privacy.

_what we did

We developed a cross-platform browser extension that enabled us to view and mark the content of any website. The marker-mode grants everyone the opportunity to highlight the 10 most critical passages. In the normal mode sentences, that have already been marked are highlighted and color-coded according to their critical score and displayed to the users accordingly. A specially developed algorithm calculates the color of a passage depending on the frequency, that the passage was marked by users, in relation to other marked passages in the text and some other metrics.
